Children's social care complaints policy

This policy explains how we handle complaints about children's social care.

Who can complain

Complaints can be made by:

  • children and young people receiving services
  • parents, carers, or legal guardians
  • foster carers, adopters, special guardians
  • any person with sufficient interest in the child’s welfare

Children and young people must be informed of their right to complain and offered advocacy support.
