Double check your parking ticket before paying

We have had some reports of fake parking tickets (PCNs) left on vehicles in Islington and neighbouring boroughs.

If you get a PCN, please check:

  • it has the Islington Council logo, crest and 'for a more equal future' in the top-right on the front
  • the back has instructions on how to pay including the web address islington.gov.uk/pcnpay - if you use this, you will see a green band at the top with our logo
  • the back also tells you how to challenge a PCN
  • it has a detachable slip that says "do not pay the civil enforcement officer"

Our PCNs do not have a QR code that you scan with your phone camera to pay. Do not scan any QR code on a PCN.

Buying a universal business permit

Find out about and buy universal permits for businesses in and outside of Islington, allowing your company vehicle to park in many spaces across the borough.

About universal business permits

This permit allows parking in resident, short stay, and shared-use bays anywhere in Islington for businesses from inside or outside the borough.

A permit may have up to three vehicles on it but the permit can only be used for one vehicle at any one time. To park more than one vehicle, you must buy another permit.

You must:

  • use vehicles that are essential to the running of your business within Islington
  • read the terms and conditions you need to agree to when purchasing or renewing a universal business permit.
