Central Library

Central Lending Library will be closed for refurbishment from Monday 4 Oct – January 2022.

The Children’s and Reference Libraries will remain open during this period and we will be accepting returns.

Library users will also be able to collect reservations during this period.

On 6 September we returned to our normal opening hours.

Opening times for Central Library:

  • Monday 9.30am-8pm

  • Tuesday 9.30am-5pm
  • Wednesday 9.30am-8pm
  • Thursday 9.30am-8pm
  • Friday 9.30am-5pm
  • Saturday 9.30am-5pm
  • Sunday 1pm-5pm

A limited number of public PCs will be available and can be pre-booked.

We encourage all visitors wear a face covering, sanitise hands and follow social distancing.

You can find a wide range of eBooks, eAudiobooks, Newspapers and Magazines online, free to Islington Library members, on our Libraries, heritage and arts webpages.
