Elections for the next Mayor of London and London Assembly members, as well as the by-election for Hillrise ward, will take place on Thursday 2 May. You must now show photo ID when you vote at polling stations. See a full list of accepted forms of ID.

Online learning and studying

Your library membership gives you free access to online learning and study courses.

All you need to access our online learning and study courses is:

  • a device to access the app or software from
  • a current Islington library card. If your card has expired, your login may not work
  • your library card PIN number (where necessary)

Courses

British citizenship

GoCitizen is a free, online study resource for candidates preparing for the 'Life in the UK' test or British citizenship test. This online version of the latest official study materials is licensed from the Home Office, the people who write the handbook. It contains hundreds of practice test questions in the same format as the official test, and features additional interactive learning resources and teaching aids.

GoCitizen is available to access at home or at your nearest Islington library.

Driving

Theory Test Pro is a free, highly realistic online simulation of the UK's driving theory tests for all vehicle categories. It contains all the official test questions licensed from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), the people who set the tests. It features unlimited access to all the official questions from the DVSA in the same format as the official test, and has machine translation into over 40 different languages and speech-enabled tests so you can listen to questions.
