Bright Start Islington: Under 5s and Children’s Centres

Bright Start Islington is our name for services for under fives and their families run in children’s centres, nurseries, health centres, community centres and libraries across Islington. We support families from pregnancy to a child’s fifth birthday.

Bright Start venues are places you can meet other parents, support each other, and get involved in improving what Bright Start offers.

You must register to visit a Bright Start venue. You can download the registration form from the bottom of this page. Once you are registered, you can use any children’s centre or local venue where Bright Start activities are offered.

You can find local activities on the Bright Start timetables for East, West and South Islington, and remember you can visit any venue at any time.

Help Shape Bright Start Services!

We are developing three Early Childhood Area Partnerships (ECAPs) which will:

  • Develop local and Islington wide priorities to help give all children in Islington the best start in life
  • Provide support to, and challenge Bright Start teams
  • Involve parents in shaping services.

Parents, carers, Bright Start team members, partnership organisations and services are invited to an introduction session to find out about ECAPS and how they can get involved on Thursday 7 December 2017 from 10am to 12 noon, at the Arc, Packington Children’s Centre, 53 Packington Street, London N1 7FZ. Crèche places are available on a first come first served basis.

Register for this session by Friday 1 December 2017.
