Ward partnerships
Islington’s 17 ward partnerships are led by ward councillors and give local residents, community groups and businesses the opportunity to shape services and improve their neighbourhoods.
Find out which ward you are in with your postcode - press the ward and councillors tab after choosing your address.
You can also check a map of Islington wards - fill in your postcode in the 'address search' at the top.

- to register your interest, hear about future meetings or for more information
- information or support from British Sign Language services for a ward partnership meeting
- copies of ward partnership documents for meetings since 2022.
Community plans (used to be 'ward improvement plans') are developed by each ward partnership and share details about improvement projects.

Arsenal ward partnership
In early May 2022, Highbury West ward was renamed Arsenal ward.

Caledonian ward partnership
Next meeting
The next ward partnership event (fun day style) will be held on Saturday 12 October 2024 from 1pm to 3pm at the Hugh Cubitt Community Centre, 48 Collier Street, N1 9QZ. This will include food, face-painting/henna and arts and crafts activities as well as an opportunity to meet your local ward councillors.

Canonbury ward partnership
Next meeting
The next Canonbury Ward Partnership events will take place at the Rose Bowl Centre, St Paul’s Park, London, N1 2PT on:
- Monday 28 October 2024, 5pm to 6pm
- Monday 27 January 2025, 5pm to 6pm (tbc)
These events give you the chance to have a coffee and chat with your local councillors, Safer Neighbourhood Team officers and Community Safety officers.
A Canonbury Safer Neighbourhood panel meeting takes place straight after each of these meetings at 6pm also in the Rose Bowl. This ward panel is a group of community members and partner agencies that meet with the Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), local police, at least every three months to set local SNT ward priorities and hold the SNT to account for issues that affect the community.

The last events took place on 29 January and 29 July 2024 (informal meetings with the councillors and SNT officers immediately before Safer Neighbourhood Board ward panel meetings).

Laycock ward partnership
Laycock ward is a new ward (as of early May 2022) so does not have a direct predecessor. It is made up mostly of the previous St Mary’s (northern part) but also has areas that were in the previous Caledonian and Holloway wards.

Our next meeting will take place on Saturday 16 November 2024, 10am to 12noon at Westbourne Community Centre, 43 Roman Way, London, N7 8XF.

St Mary’s and St James’ ward partnership
St Mary’s and St James’ ward is a new ward (as of early May 2022) so does not have a direct predecessor. It is made up of the previous St Mary’s (southern part) but also has a large area that was within the old St Peter’s ward.

Our next meeting will take place on Wednesday 16 October 2024, 5.30pm to 6.30pm at St Mary’s Church, Crypt Room 2, Upper Street N1 2TX.
