Ward partnerships

Islington’s 16 ward partnerships are led by ward councillors and give local residents, community groups and businesses the opportunity to shape services and improve their neighbourhoods.

Ward boundaries changed in early May 2022. For more information on the changes, see ward boundary changes. View a map showing the 17 new wards only under 'Useful documents' at the bottom of this page. You can also find out which ward you are in and which ward partnership is relevant to you by entering your address into the ‘Your local area’ tool.

Please email partnerships@islington.gov.uk, if you:

  • would like to register your interest, hear about future meetings or for more information.
  • need information or support for British Sign Language services or in accessing a Zoom ward partnership meeting.
  • would like to receive copies of ward partnership documents for meetings before April 2020.

Community plans (previously known as ward improvement plans) are developed by each ward partnership and outline proposals for improvement projects.

Windsor Street car park

August 2020 update

Planning consent has been received to demolish and rebuild on the site of the Windsor Street car park and garages. The redevelopment will provide supported accommodation for people with learning difficulties.

We now have approval to award the contract to the selected contractor, Rooff Ltd, following a successful tender process.  We are currently in the process of  appointing Rooff Ltd. We hope to start onsite in spring 2021 with an anticipated completion date of spring 2022.

The site has been hoarded off to ensure site safety and council messaging has been added to the hoarding.
