As part of our efforts to create a cleaner, greener, and healthier borough we want to create a liveable neighbourhood in the Annette Road area.
The liveable neighbourhood will create pleasant and animated streets, where communities can come together to spend time with their neighbours, support local shops and where children can play and travel safely.
With more greening including plants and trees, seating for neighbours and also reduced traffic volumes, the liveable neighbourhood will transform streets across the scheme area.
We are listening to feedback from local people and groups, and we are looking to prioritise the following improvements:
-
creating safe streets for children to travel to school and areas for play
-
reducing through-traffic, reducing road danger and improving air quality
-
supporting local businesses to thrive
The liveable neighbourhood will also work to:
-
create greener and more pleasant streets
-
make it easier and safer to walk, wheel and cycle
-
bring the community together
About the Annette Road Liveable Neighbourhood
