Highbury Crescent Closed Road

Islington Clean Air Parents and Islington Council are working together to improve the section of closed road at Highbury Crescent. Working with residents and community groups, the improvements aim to enhance the areas existing character and maximise the use of the street.

The proposed improvements include:

  • promoting a safer and more sociable environment for children, families and all users of the Fields
  • enhance walking and cycling
  • increase urban greening
  • enhance amenities on offer, such as play, leisure and seating

You can view the engagement material and concept designs, and give us your feedback and ideas from 5 until 15 December at Lets Talk Islington. The results of this survey will help to shape the kind of improvements that people would like to see.

If you have any questions or would like to provide your thoughts/feedback on the project then please use the 'Questions and feedback about Highbury Crescent Closed Road' section below. To be added to the mailing list or to request a paper copy of the survey please email ParksProjects@islington.gov.uk

Funding for the Highbury Crescent Closed Road was from Islington Greener Together, which enables residents, businesses and community groups to apply for funding to transform grey spaces into green. Find out more about Islington Greener together.
