Personal and other land charge searches

Apply for a personal search or look for building control, planning decisions, street information, houses in multiple occupation (HMO) and environmental health records.

Environmental Information Regulations (EIRs)

A personal search will only tell you about local land charges against any Islington property on the LLC1 register. To apply for a personal search, use our Local Land Charge portal. You'll need to sign up first. Follow instructions on how to do that.

To get as much information as you can on a property - such as planning applications that have been turned down or details about building control - you should order a full search online.

Search for this extra information yourself

You may have asked for this extra information under Environmental Information Regulations in the past. You can now access this information yourself using the pages below.

About information on Building Control applications

Because of our retention policy, we do not hold any copies of information on Building Control applications that are older than 15 years. Building Control records are not public records and can only be disclosed to the owner of the property or a solicitor acting on their behalf.
