Proposed removal of speed table at the existing zebra crossing on Copenhagen Street

This consultation has ended

Start date 20 December 2019
End date 17 January 2020

Islington council is proposing to remove the raised speed table on the existing zebra crossing located at the junction of Copenhagen Street and Charlotte Terrace, due to concerns from local residents. As a result of the removal of this raised speed table, the Council is required to relocate the existing speed table on Copenhagen Street, currently situated outside Roding House, to a new location which is outside Copenhagen House. This will keep the traffic calming measures on Copenhagen Street within the current legislation, also to maintain vehicular speeds along this section of Copenhagen Street within the borough’s 20mph limit.
