Parade on Sunday 31 May

There will be a parade in Islington on Sunday 31 May 2026 at 2pm to celebrate Arsenal Football Club's win. This will affect parking, roads, street cleaning, parks and libraries. Check what to expect so you can plan ahead.

Market trader of the year award

The 'Market trader of the year' award is a chance for customers to recognise, and appreciate, the contribution that traders make to the local community.

Steeped in hundreds of years of tradition, the borough has a long heritage of market trading. There are five established council-run markets in Islington: Chapel, Exmouth, Camden Passage, Whitecross Street and Archway.

The competition closes on 22 November 2019 and the winner will be announced on Saturday 30 November at Chapel Market.
