Payments and online forms unavailable from 7pm until 7:30pm

On Monday 16 February you will not be able to submit forms or make payments between 7pm and 7:30pm. We will be doing essential maintenance on our website.

This means you will not be able to do things like pay or apply for parking permits, parking tickets (PCNs), council tax and rent online or call the automated payment line (020 7527 8000).

We are very sorry about this. If you need to make a payment or do something else online, please try a different day or time.

Environmental volunteering opportunities

Get involved in tackling climate change and caring for the environment by joining a local group. You can either volunteer, share your knowledge or help develop community projects.

  • Islington Climate Centre is a hub for residents and community groups who want to address climate change in the borough. You can also use their community map to find volunteer gardening opportunities.
  • Islington Parksjoin our community rangers in looking after our green spaces, or join a local Friends of Park group.
  • Recycling Champions - take action with your community to increase recycling and help fight climate change.
  • Octopus Communities provides a community of practice and developmental skills for Islington’s community hubs to promote community work and community development.
  • Islington Environmental Alliance brings together Islington residents, business owners, subject matter experts, environmental campaigners, religious leaders, organisations and community groups from across the borough to assist Islington Council to meet their Net Zero Carbon 2030 Strategy objectives.
  • Islington Food Partnership is a broad coalition of local organisations and individuals working together to ensure everyone in Islington eats enough healthy food each day.
  • Islington Clean Air Parents is a network of parents and carers working together with relevant authorities to reduce air pollution and create a healthy clean air environment for all children across the borough.
  • Transition Highbury is a group of local citizens working to help each other, and others, to live more sustainably.
  • Cultivating Cally is a community project to turn the grey tarmac of Freeling Street into a green oasis for all to enjoy.
  • Power Up North London is a non-profit community organisation that enables local people to tackle climate change by delivering renewable energy projects.
  • Cally Energy is a non-profit community organisation helping local renewable energy projects.
  • Voluntary Action Islington (VAI) offers a wide range of services for local organisations, small groups, and volunteers at all stages of their development. If you are interested in volunteering, they can offer support and advice as well as helping you find a volunteering opportunity.
