Adoption north London accessibility statement

This statement applies to content published on the Adopt London North Portal website.

This website is run by System C on behalf of Islington Council. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this site.  You should be able to:

  • Change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
  • Zoom in up to 400% without the text spilling off the screen
  • Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard or speech recognition software
  • Listen to most of the website using a screen reader

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • The input fields on the modal dialog do not have accessible names.  Screen reader users may find it difficult to determine the purpose of the input fields on the modal dialog.
  • It is possible to navigate out of the secure messages dialog using the tab key.  This may be confusing for screen reader users who might find it difficult to determine which content is part of the modal dialog and which content is not part of the modal dialog.
  • Validation messages are not announced by screen reading software as they appear.  After inputting and submitting forms, if the form does not submit correctly, screen reader users are advised to reread the whole page from the beginning.
  • Social media links do not have accessible names.  Screen reader users will not be able to determine the purpose of the links.
