Carers

Islington council and its partners recognise the contribution of carers in supporting friends and family who have health and social care needs.

We support this through commissioning services and support available to all carers such as the Carers Hub.

Carers assessments are used to identify the support needed by carers and can result in the payment of a personal budget so that carers have the choice to purchase other services and supports that will help them maintain their caring role.
