Air quality and environment

A common understanding of the word “environment” may include water, air, energy, transport, infrastructure and green space.

Islington is working to protect our environment and our health by reducing pollution by reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill, reducing energy use and protecting areas of parkland and biodiversity, as well as enforcing regulations that keep our air clean and control our built environment. A range of maintenance, measuring, monitoring and planning activities are undertaken in Islington.

The documents on this page give information and evidence on specific topics related to air quality and it's health impacts in Islington.
