Children and young people's evidence and statistics

The Corporate Plan 2018-2022 sets out how giving all children and young people the best start in life is at the heart of making our borough a fairer place for all.

There are around 38,100 children and young people (under 18 year olds), and 35,200 18 to 25 year olds living in Islington.

Although the majority of young people are healthy and achieve well, there is a proportion of children and young people who need support from the local authority.

Within this section, you can find a range of documents with information about the young people of Islington, their needs, the outcomes they achieve and the services available to them.

Information about specific services for children, young people and families in Islington can be found on the online Family Directory.
