Payments and online forms unavailable from 7pm until 7:30pm

On Monday 16 February you will not be able to submit forms or make payments between 7pm and 7:30pm. We will be doing essential maintenance on our website.

This means you will not be able to do things like pay or apply for parking permits, parking tickets (PCNs), council tax and rent online or call the automated payment line (020 7527 8000).

We are very sorry about this. If you need to make a payment or do something else online, please try a different day or time.

Adult social care quality assurance

Find out how we work with the Care Quality Commission to make sure our adult social care services are working for you.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) makes sure health and social care services support people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage improvements.

Our assessment by the CQC

The Islington Adult Social Care (ASC) services were rated ‘good’ by Care Quality Commission (CQC) in 2025, with an overall score of 73 out of 100.

The CQC's inspection and assessment is crucial for ensuring the highest quality of care for residents in Islington. The assessment looks at how we are meeting our responsibilities to ensure people have access to adult social care and support under the Care Act (2014).

Our next steps

Our full report, including a summary of our strengths and areas of improvement is available on the CQC website.

CQC requires a local authority to address any issues and make improvements if needed. We will work closely with our partners, providers, the voluntary and community sector, residents and their families and carers, to continue improving our ASC services.
