You are entitled to a free resident permit if you are a blue badge holder provided your vehicle is registered to your home address.
Once granted, the e-permit allows you to park anywhere in your home Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ). This free e-permit is virtual, so you don't need to display anything in your car.
The free resident permit allows parking in resident or shared use bays. It does not permit drivers to park on yellow lines, or in pay and display bays, dedicated disabled bays or doctor bays.
When parking outside your zone the free resident permit is only valid during resident roamer hours. On all other occasions you will need to display your blue badge.

Parking for disabled people
The Blue Badge scheme provides special parking provisions for people with a physical or mental health disability that severely impairs their ability to walk short distances. The scheme enables parking for either drivers or passengers closer to their required destination.
