The council offers a high quality apprenticeship programme that combines work experience, training and a competitive London Living Wage salary, across 12 pathways:

If you are a successful applicant you will be matched to a role in one of the six service areas within the council where your skills and interests fit best.You will train to achieve a qualification in your specialism and help us make Islington a fairer place to live.

Who can apply
Anyone aged 16 or over, who's reached the statutory school leaving date, can apply for an apprenticeship; there is no upper age limit. Applications are encouraged from Islington residents, Islington school leavers and Islington care leavers.
Depending on your current skills and qualifications there are different levels of apprenticeship- from GSCE equivalent right up to degree level.
You cannot apply for an apprenticeship that you have already completed before. You can apply for an apprenticeship at a higher level qualification that you currently hold or in a completely new area that you are not currently trained in. Each apprenticeship pathway has details of the entry criteria so please check each listing for details.

We employ advisers who can help you to decide how to move forward with your employment and training options.
They are happy to help regardless of your circumstances. It may be that you have not secured a place at college or you could be unsure of what field you're interested in.
Pop in to get some information, appointments are not required:
- Platform (Mondays, 2pm-7pm)
- Lift (Wednesdays and Fridays, 12pm-5pm)
