Free support is available if you have experienced a hate crime.
Support services will keep your information confidential and will only share it with the police if you agree.
Who to contact for support
The following organisations can offer support if you have experienced a hate crime:
- CATCH Communities against hate: confidential support for adults in London affected by all types of hate crime. Independent from the police.
- Forum+: support for LGBT+ people who have experienced hate crime.
- Victim Support Support: for anyone affected by any crime. Call 0808 168 9111.
- British Muslim Trust: offer support for people affected by anti-Muslim hate crime. Call 080 8172 3524
- Islington Hate Crime Forum: the forum is made up of organisations that represent communities affected by hate crime. They can help advise and signpost you to support. Email hatecrime@islington.gov.uk for advice.
Other support available
Contact your GP if you need support with your mental or physical health.
If you live in a council property, a housing association or another social landlord, contact your housing officer for support.
If you have reported ongoing hate crime but do not think enough action has been taken, you can request a Community Trigger review.
