Become a Hate Crime Prevention Champion

Find out how you can help tackle hate crime in Islington by becoming a Hate Crime Prevention Champion.

What you'll do as a Hate Crime Prevention Champion

As a Hate Crime Prevention Champion, you will:

  • encourage people to report hate crime and hate incidents
  • raise awareness and understanding of hate crime in your community
  • help people recognise when a hate crime or incident may have happened

  • engage with the Hate Crime Prevention Champions Network and the work of the Islington Hate Crime Forum
  • deliver or take part in at least three hate crime activities each year, such as community events, awareness campaigns or training sessions

We understand that people have different commitments, so involvement is flexible. Any time you can give helps make a difference in your community.
