Elections on 2 May

Elections for the next Mayor of London and London Assembly members, as well as the by-election for Hillrise ward, will take place on Thursday 2 May.

You must now show photo ID when you vote at polling stations. See a full list of accepted forms of ID. You can also apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate in place of photo ID. The deadline to apply for this is 5pm, Wednesday 24 April.

Flexible Breaks Fund

Find out more about and how to apply for the Flexible Breaks Fund for carers who provide unpaid care or support to an Islington resident aged 17 and under.

The Flexible Breaks Fund pays for carers to have a break from their caring role.

Who it's for

  • Parents and carers who provide unpaid care or support to an Islington resident aged 17 and under.
  • The person you care for can be your child, a relative, friend or neighbour who can’t manage without your support. This could be because of illness or emotional or behavioural issues.
  • You must live in the same household as the person being cared for.

How to apply

Email FlexibleBreaks@islington.gov.uk to get an application form. You must include with the application form a supporting letter from a professional working with the family.

Referral process

We review applications on a termly basis and funds are awarded depending on the level of need explained in the referral form. The Flexible Breaks panel is held once each term and referrals are open until the deadline dates in the table below.
