Places of worship and charities

We provide weekly free recycling and food waste collections and subsidised waste collections to charities and places of worship.

What we collect 

We collect:

• dry mixed recycling
• food waste
• garden waste
• non-recyclable ‘household’ waste

We will charge for:

• the collection of dry mixed or food recycling if it is produced from commercial activities, such as charged events
• any necessary extra collections
• collecting garden waste and non-recyclable ‘household’ waste

When we collect

Collections take place weekly or nightly. Please contact CommercialWaste@islington.gov.uk for more information.

What we provide

We give you:

• free green recycling boxes 
• free clear sacks (where there is no front storage for green recycling boxes)
• food waste containers
• compostable liners.
