Charity relief

If you're a registered charity or Community Amateur Sports Club, you can get 80% off your business rates.

Charities and registered Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs) are entitled to 80% mandatory relief where the property is occupied by the charity or the CASC, and is wholly or mainly used for the charitable purposes of the charity (or of that and other charities), or for the purposes of the CASC (or of that and other CASCs).

For charity shops, the charity must use the property wholly or mainly to sell goods donated to it. It must also use the net proceeds for the purposes of the charity.
