Has my rateable value changed?
The Valuation Office Agency (VOA) has revaluated all non-domestic properties based on the property value at 1 April 2015. This will affect the amount of business rates you pay from 1 April 2017. You can check your property valuation on the VOA website.
How can I challenge the new value if I think it is wrong?
You can lodge an appeal with the Valuation Office Agency via the UK Government's website, but in the meantime you will need to pay the amount shown on your bill.
What is the business rates supplement and where can I find out more about it?
It is a charge raised by the Greater London Authority (GLA) to contribute towards the Crossrail project. Visit the GLA website for more information.
What is being done to help small businesses?
You are entitled to money off your bill, known as Small Business Rate Relief if your rateable value is less than £25,499, however further discounts may be available. Find out more
