Polling place review 2026

How to have your say on new polling places in Bunhill, Laycock, and St Peter's and Canalside wards.

We are looking for suitable new polling stations in 3 wards. This is because the current polling places cannot be used for future elections.

These are:

  • Bunhill ward – Tompion Hall Community Centre (SBUB)
  • Laycock ward – Ringcross Community Centre (SLAA)
  • St Peter’s and Canalside ward – Hanover Primary School (SSPC)

What a polling station venue needs

A good polling station venue should:

  • be easy to get to
  • be accessible for disabled people
  • have good transport links
  • be big enough for voters
  • be available when elections happen and at short notice
  • have facilities for staff, such as heating, lighting, and toilets
  • be located within the Polling District
