Once you have read the information and think fostering may be for you we recommend your next step is to attend one of our information sessions. These sessions are run by members of the recruitment team along with an experienced foster carer who shares their fostering experiences.
We talk about fostering basics and what you can expect when you become an Islington foster carer as well as taking you through your assessment journey and the benefits of fostering with Islington. There is also the opportunity for you to ask questions and to chat privately.
Our next sessions are:
Sessions are run regularly at either 10am or 6pm to try and give you the best opportunity to attend. We also alternate between online and face-to-face meetings
For security reasons you will need to book to gain access to the online sessions but it only takes a minute and all we need is your email address. You can securely book for any session on our dedicated Eventbrite page.
Our face-to-face sessions are run at Islington Town Hall, Upper Street, N1 2UD.
Don't worry if you are unable to attend the next session, you can find all the upcoming sessions on the Eventbrite page too. If you cannot find a time suitable contact the team for a chat and we may be able to arrange alternative options. You can also view some of our past Facebook information sessions with the team and foster carers here on our Facebook page.
We also have a monthly fostering news bulletin where you can be kept up to date with all the upcoming information sessions as well as fostering news and stories from the team. You can sign-up quickly and easily here.
