Transfer of Allied Healthcare services to MiHomecare in Islington

On Friday 16 November 2018, it was announced that Allied Healthcare will cease to provide home care services in Islington due to financial difficulties.

The council has been working hard to put in place plans to ensure that Allied Healthcare clients continue to receive the care and support they need, now and in the future.

As of 14 December 2018 care services previously delivered by Allied Healthcare in Islington, will now be delivered by a different care provider called MiHomecare.

The council has carried out a series of tough tests and is satisfied that MiHomecare is well placed to provide high quality care and support to Islington residents.

Care workers who previously worked for Allied Healthcare have been transferred to MiHomecare, so wherever possible, people will keep the same care worker.

The council has worked with Allied Healthcare and MiHomecare to make sure that this change happens smoothly and with minimum disruption to the people who receive care services and their families.
