Sexual health services
We have free sexual health, contraception, self-testing and HIV services available in Islington. CNWL (Central and North West London) Sexual Health Services offer open access clinics as well as outreach and health promotion activities.
The Camish Network provides free and confidential sexual health services for young people under 25 in Camden and Islington. There are clinics available at Brook Euston, the Brandon Centre and Pulse. A range of education services, outreach clinics and the C-Card Condom Scheme is on offer.
SHAPES offers residents living with HIV a wide range of free sexual health, advocacy and peer emotional support services. These include Talking Therapies (counselling), Recently Diagnosed Groups, Life Coaching, Self-Management Groups, Peer Support and Wellbeing Workshops.
Emergency Hormone Contraception
Emergency hormone contraception (the morning-after pill) is available for free for under 25s in some of Islington’s pharmacies as well as free condoms and the C-Card Scheme. Please check locally for more information.
GP surgeries also provide sexual health and contraception services; please check what’s available at your local practice.
