PA Finder

A personal assistant (PA) is employed by people who need support at home, either because of their age or disability, to enable them to live as independently as possible.

Using the PA Finder

Anyone who wants to hire a local personal assistant (PA) can use the online PA Finder to find and choose someone.

The PA Finder can also be used by people who pay for their support privately, as well as those people receiving Direct Payments from social services.

How to find a personal assistant using the PA Finder

Go to the PA Finder, which is a PDF file, where you can view a list of PAs, their details, their experience and availability.

Please note the PAs listed on the site are not employed by us and have not been vetted by us. The Direct Payments Team can help you carry out employment checks before you employ a PA to give you peace of mind.

PAs can use the online PA Finder to register themselves as a PA with us. PAs will need to complete the registration application form below and send it to the Direct Payments team.

For more information about free training and learning for people employing PAs and personal assistants, open this PDF file.
