Safeguarding vulnerable adults from abuse and neglect
Some adults may find it difficult to protect themselves from abuse. Adults at risk include people who are vulnerable because of their mental health, physical disability, age or illness. Everybody can help adults with care and support needs to live free from harm, abuse or neglect.
Who we safeguard
We safeguard adults who are in need of care and support (whether or not those needs are being met) and who are less able to protect themselves because of those needs. This may be because of their mental health, physical disability, age or illness.
All of us have a role to play in keeping adults safe in Islington. If you have any concerns that someone you know is a victim of abuse and neglect, we can help you to report it. We all need to know about keeping adults safe.
