Are you struggling to cope at the moment, or concerned about a friend or neighbour? If you or someone you know needs support, then help is available.
Islington Council, voluntary sector and mutual aid groups are working together to provide support. Contact We are Islington for support getting food or medicine, or if you are struggling financially due to the outbreak of coronavirus. Residents can also call for a friendly chat, support to leave their home, and information about online group activities and staying healthy and well.

Support for residents self-isolating
Test and Trace Support Payments are available for residents who have been told through NHS Test and Trace that they must self-isolate and who are in employment or are self-employed, on a low income and in receipt of certain benefits, and will lose money because they cannot work from home.
Support for residents who are clinically extremely vulnerable
To support Taxicard members during the outbreak of Covid-19 (coronavirus), the London Taxicard scheme has been amended as follows:
• Taxicard drivers can pick up and deliver essential supplies for members e.g. essential items pre-bought online or over the telephone
• Friends and family can travel on a member’s behalf using their Taxicard to pick up and deliver essential supplies
This change will allow Taxicard members to continue to use their subsidised trips during a time when they may not able to travel, in line with recently issued Government and Public Health England guidelines.
To make arrangements for a delivery, or for family/friends to travel on a member’s behalf, call the Taxicard booking line on 020 7763 5001.
At the time of the booking, the cost of the journey will be confirmed and the member contribution will need to be paid by debit or credit card.
