Old Street Roundabout – Wider Highway Transformation Scheme

Transport for London (TfL), working in partnership with Islington and Hackney councils, has started work transforming Old Street roundabout, making it a safer and more pleasant place for everyone.

The work will happen in three phases:

  • phase a: enabling works and site investigations (until late April 2019)
  • phase b: advanced highway works (from 20 March 2019 to late May 2019)
  • phase c: main works (May 2019)

Islington is working closely with TfL and Hackney Council to minimise both the disruption and the noise created.

Old Street roundabout changes to two-way traffic on Monday 26 May. Please take extra care when travelling around the area.
