Islington Council has obtained an injunction with powers of arrest against an individual in the South of the borough.
The individual, an adult male came to attention of the Council when he was observed last year on CCTV following a female into the lift in a block on the King Square Estate, whereupon he was seen to commit an act of gross indecency.
The victim was unaware of the actions of the perpetrator.
Islington Council working with the Bunhill Neighbourhood Police team were able to identify the indvidual, leading to his arrest and the provision of criminal charges.
Under the terms of the injunction he is forbidden from:
- Engaging in conduct causing or capabe of causing nuisance, harassment, alarm, distress, fear of intimidation to any persons in the locality of, residing in, or engaged in lawful activity in the vicinity of any London Borough of Islington Estates
- Using or threatening to use violence or intimidating conduct towards any persons in the locality of, residing in, or engaged in lawful activity in the vicinity of any London Borough of Islington Estates
- Entering or remaining in any part of any London Borough of Islington Estates
