Islington Council has obtained its first premises closure notice followed by a closure order under the ASB Crime and policing Act 2014
The resident who lived on the Delhi-Outram Estate first came to attention after the council received several reports from local residents of anti-social behaviour. The anti-social behaviour included drug related activity and nuisance from visitors to the property. Reports received also alluded to the fact that these individuals were selling drugs on the estate.
Islington Council officers working closely with the Caledonian Neighbourhood Policing Team, collected evidence from visits to the premises which was presented to Highbury Corner magistrates court to seek possession of the order.
The order which was issued in May 2015 prohibits access to those whom routinely live at the premises and visitors from entering the property until 28th August 2015.
