Islington Council has evicted a tenant for three major breaches of their tenancy agreement in Emberton Court.
The tenant came to attention because of reports of noise, intimidation and threatening behaviour and persistent cannabis fumes. additional grounds were sought for unpaid rent.
The Council pursued possession of the property using evidence provided from residents of Emberton Court the Housing Investigations Team, ASB Response Team and the Police. The judge agreed that the behaviour of the tenant was in breach of their tenancy agreement and awarded an Outright Possession Order leading to eviction in June 2014.
Whilst eviction is seen as a last resort Islington Council will look to pursue this course of action where the behaviour is a serious breach of our tenancy agreement.
