Islington Council has evicted a tenant for causing anti-social behaviour on Adams Place Estate.
The tenant came to attention because of reports of anti-social behaviour and noise nuisance. Despite receiving warnings from the council the tenant failed to respond and as a consequence legal action was taken.
Unfortunately the nuisance continued and the council pursued possession of the property using evidence provided from local residents and the council anti-social behaviour officer. The judge agreed that the tenant's behaviour was in breach of their tenancy agreement and the Council was granted possession of the property, leading to their eviction in November 2014.
Whilst eviction is a last resort Islington Council will pursue this action where anti-social behaviour is severe and having a negative impact on our residents.
