Islington Young People's Drug and Alcohol Service

Islington Young People's Drug & Alcohol Service (IYPDAS) works with young people up to the age of 21 who live or have a GP in Islington and are looking for support with substance misuse issues.

We provide specialist treatment to young people who are misusing substance, and advice and information to any young person who is experimenting with, affected by, or just curious about drugs and alcohol. We offer a range of services including one-to-one counselling; group work and drugs education, and we act as a point of information, advice and guidance to parents, carers, and professionals. We also work closely with our partners in Targeted Youth Support, and through them we are able to access tailored interventions aimed at young people and their families; and the TYS Youth Counselling Service.

We also deliver training to professionals who work with young people in a range of different contexts. The training can be tailored to suits the needs of the individual service, and generally features drugs awareness training (including novel psychoactive substances or ‘legal highs’), as well as training in how to recognize and respond to situations where young people are affected by drugs and/or alcohol misuse.

If you wish to refer a young person, arrange for training, or just have a query regarding the service we provide, then please get in touch with us via the phone numbers or email address below.
