We are Cally Young Resident Grants

The We are Cally Young Resident Grant scheme has been set up to support Cally young people to act on the things that they care about. This is a small grants scheme to enable local young people with a great idea to contribute to making the area a better place to work, play and live in.

We have £4,000 in the funding pot, with a maximum grant amount of £500.

This programme is part of the We Are Cally Project

What are we looking for?

We want to see groups of a minimum of three local young people, up to the age of 25, applying for this funding. The funding is there to support young people do things for others in the Cally through activities that make a positive difference.

We are very open to different kinds of applications - it might be going on a trip, growing things, building on the Cally’s strong sense of community, or creating new opportunities for you and other young people.

Who can apply for the fund?

To be able to apply for this fund you need to be a young person living in the area around the Caledonian Road in south-west Islington, known locally as ‘the Cally’. A collection of neighbourhoods with Caledonian Road at its core, the area stretches from Kings Cross in the south-west, to Lower Holloway in the north-east.

You can apply for a We are Cally Young Residents Grant if:

  • You live in the Cally
  • Your idea costs up to £500
  • You are under the age of 25
  • There’s a minimum of three of you
