How to appeal against a parking ticket issued on an Islington housing estate
Make an informal appeal
If you wish to make an informal verbal appeal about the service you have received from the parking contractor, Wing Parking, you can telephone the contractor directly on 020 7527 6512. This telephone number is also shown on Estate Parking Warning Notices around the estate.
If you remain dissatisfied after making a verbal appeal there is a formal estate parking appeals process.
Make a formal appeal
To appeal against a Parking Charge Notice issued on a council estate, follow the appeals process on the Wing Parking website. You should appeal within 28 days of the ticket being issued.
In order for your appeal to be considered you must include
- the Parking Charge Notice number
- your vehicle registration number
- your name and home address
- the name and address of the driver if this is different.
Please also attach any relevant scans or supporting documents to the email. Please provide as much detail as you can and any evidence you feel may support your claim.

What happens next
If you email or write to us within 28 days of the ticket being issued, we will freeze the amount you owe until we respond.
Wing Parking aim to respond to appeals within 10 working days.
If you remain unhappy with the response from the contractor
You can make a further appeal in writing. The contractors response letter will explain how to do this.
We will freeze the amount you owe until we respond.
You need to include:
- Your name and address
- The registration number of your vehicle
- The date and exact location of the incident
- Explain why you feel that the Parking Charge Notice should be cancelled
- Please also attach any relevant scans or supporting documents to the email/letter
We will consider all the circumstances explained in your appeal and will respond to you in full with our final decision and any further guidance that is relevant
How long do we keep your records?
We will only keep your information for the minimum period necessary. The information outlined in this privacy notice will be kept for the amount of time as detailed within the parking retention schedule. All information will be held securely and destroyed under confidential conditions.
