Islington Cultural Education Partnership

Help us to drive a joined-up local arts and cultural education offer in Islington.

Islington Cultural Education Partnership (ICEP) brings the borough’s diverse cultural organisations, schools, education providers and Islington Council services together to align resources and expertise to ensure that all children and young people in Islington participate in and enjoy high quality arts and heritage.

Through working in a strategic partnership ICEP can develop, lever funding and deliver collaborative arts education projects designed to meet the needs identified by education settings in the borough and to advocate with a collective voice for the value of arts education.

ICEP offers arts and heritage providers with an opportunity to align their priorities and encourages schools to increase their engagement with the extraordinary range and quality of cultural provision available locally.

Membership of ICEP is open to all organisations delivering arts education provision within the borough. We deliver our work by commissioning activity in response to research and identified need within the borough. These programmes of work are developed and delivered by bringing together a group of cultural organisations and education settings to work together.

There are currently three ICEP Delivery Groups:

  • Artistic Residency/Carousel - led by Dimity Nicholls (Cubitt Artists)
  • Career Progression Pathways - led by James Wilson (City and Islington College)
  • Early Years Mapping - led by Fiona Horigan (Moreland Children’s Centre/Islington Council)

We welcome all arts organisations providing cultural education opportunities for Islington children and young people and all local education providers to join ICEP.
