Extra security checks including bag searches are in place at council buildings. Please allow more time for your visit. Also, please report anything which you feel is suspicious to the police on 0800 789 321, or 999 if it is an immediate threat.
Tenant and Resident Associations (TRAs)
A Tenants and Residents Association (TRA) is formed by a group of residents living on an estate or area who come together to make their local area a better place to live.
TRAs gives residents more say in how their estate is run and allows them to work with Islington Housing Services to find solutions to problems affecting their area.
The Benefits of Setting up a TRA
Forming a TRA can bring many advantages for you and your neighbours, including the following:
providing residents with an effective way to make their views known to Islington housing services and other organisations
developing a good community spirit, helping neighbours to get to know each other
providing residents with the opportunity to suggest how the council spends money in their local area
enabling residents to attend an estate walkabout to inspect your estate and make suggestions for improvement
