The Dover Court scheme involves building 70 new homes and significant public realm improvements across nine underused sites on the estate. The scheme offers a mix of family sized homes and specific accommodation for residents aged 55 and over. Mitchison Baxter Park will be enhanced to provide a much more useable space for the wider community and a new community centre will be provided as part of the project. The scheme will deliver 51 new homes for council rent, with the remaining 19 being sold to help fund the project. 8 of the new homes are wheelchair accessible.
The planning application for the project has been approved, but you can still view the application documents, including plans and drawings, by following the link below. The planning reference is P2014/3362.
- 29 x 1 bedroom homes (25 for council rent and 4 for private sale)
- 23 x 2 bedroom homes (8 for council rent and 15 for private sale)
- 16 x 3 bedroom homes (all for council rent)
- 2 x 5 bedroom homes (both for council rent)
