Rebuilding a fairer Islington in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic by tackling the climate emergency and investing in more green projects is at the heart of Islington Council’s investment plans.
To create a greener, healthier borough, we’re spending £6.9 million over the next 2 years to improve our parks by installing new facilities and features for the whole community to use. This includes spending £590K of S106 funding to improve Fortune Street Park.
This project is in the very early stages and we’d like to hear your views about the park, find out how you use it, and how you might like to use it in the future.
Please take some time to complete our survey which closes at midnight on Monday 13 September 2021. We will use the results to help inform concept designs later this year.
We'll post updates to the project on this page and the results of the survey will be published in October. If you would like to join the project mailing list, please email Project Manager Lara.Ellington-Brown@islington.gov.uk.
Please note. If you live in the Bunhill area you may have received a paper version of the survey in the post. We are aware that there is a printing error on the survey which means Q4 doesn’t give the appropriate options needed to answer this question. We apologise for the error and encourage you to complete the survey online, however if you wish to return the paper copy, we will be accepting written answers for Q4. Please rest assured that there will also be ample opportunity for you discuss the park with the design team once the consultation gets underway.
