Fun for under 13s
Libraries are still closed, but you can take part in lots of online activities like the Summer Reading Challenge. This year the theme is the ‘Silly Squad’ and all about funny books, happiness and having a laugh.
We are running some Bright Start activities for under 5s online, like Come and Play, family Zumba and baby massage.
Adventure Playgrounds are re-opening from July 20 with protective measures in place to ensure that they are safe. Islington has 12 Adventure Playgrounds which are welcoming, fun and free for children aged 6+. They are key in supporting children’s physical health and emotional wellbeing.
Keep checking this web page for more information.
Teens - 13+
Once again, young people aged 13+ living in Islington can sign up for Summerversity.
The programme has various FREE activities being run online and in person with social distancing, including costume design, music production, kayaking and tennis. Places are allocated so that everyone who applies on time will get a chance to do at least two courses in addition to any taster sessions. We recommend that you register and book as soon as possible. Most activities are suitable for complete beginners and no previous experience is required.
Young adults - 16+
The Launchpad programme for young people aged 16+ is also on, with a range of FREE courses and workshops to help young people learn new skills, get careers advice and gain new experiences to add to their CV.
