Under 13s

Islington’s libraries will again bring you this year’s Summer Reading Challenge! The Challenge promotes reading as a fun activity for children aged 4-11, helps them discover new authors and types of books to read and helps them keep up the reading habit over the summer. This year's theme - 'Gadgeteers' - will spark children's curiosity about the world around them. With resources and activities from the Science Museum, the Challenge focuses on inspiring children to see the science and innovation behind everyday objects, showing that reading and science are for everyone.
Sign up at your local library after 9 July 2022.

Islington's Adventure Playgrounds are open for outdoor play sessions with social distancing and other Covid secure measures in place to ensure the safety of children, families and staff. Islington has 12 adventure playgrounds, which are safe, welcoming and fun for children aged 6 and up. They give children the opportunity to safely socialise with others outside their household, burn off energy and boost their physical and emotional health.
