With its excellent transport links and close proximity to the City and West End, Islington is a great place to do business.

The borough is the focus for major commercial, residential and other regeneration developments, some that are currently underway and some that may start in the near future. These bring with them contract opportunities for organisations of all kinds.

The council itself is a major purchaser of goods, works and services. There are opportunities for businesses to tender for contracts via the link under Related Information on this page.

You can also find out about trading in Islington’s streets and markets under Related Information.

Third Sector

A message for Community Organisations:

Major Government changes to welfare benefits are affecting many of our residents and you may be finding that more people are turning to your organisation for advice and support.

The reforms are complex and are being introduced in stages.  They also impact on residents in different ways.

To help inform local frontline community organisations on the changes and where to send their clients for expert support, visit the benefits and support section of this website.
