Our containers, bins and pre-paid sacks for businesses

From general waste and recycling bins/containers to a pre-paid sack service - find out which one is most suitable for your business needs.

We can provide your business with containers, wheelie bins or pre-paid sacks to collect your recycling, food and general waste.

General business waste containers

The containers are available in 240, 360, 660 or 1100 litres capacity. All containers come branded for collection by Islington Council.

The 660 and 1100 litre containers come fully fitted with easily operated brake controls. They are made from steel constructions so they are hard wearing and resistant to fire. They have a watertight lid closure to keep out rainwater. Both containers are lockable, and extra keys are available on request.

Containers for business waste recycling

A mixed recycling service is also available, which is offered at a reduced rate from your ordinary waste collection.

We offer a variety of bin/container sizes so you can choose the one that best suits your businesses needs.

Pre-paid sacks service for businesses

A pre-paid sack service is designed for businesses who do not have enough space for storing large containers. All sacks are Islington Council branded and the sacks are very durable and are roughly the same size as normal refuse sacks.

This service is ideal for business waste producers with limited storage.

In addition:

  • There are few restrictions on how many pre-paid sacks are used – providing they are presented on your scheduled collections day(s). However, please think of recycling and try to minimise the amount of waste you produce.
  • The charge includes delivery of sacks collection, contract administration, disposal costs and Duty of Care documentation.
  • Scheduled collection service to meet your needs and collections can be up to seven days in some locations depending on your contract.

We offer grey sacks for general waste and clear sacks for recyclable material. Grey and clear sacks are delivered monthly, quarterly, every six months, or once a year depending on your needs. If you require more grey or clear sacks you can purchase them at an additional cost.

You can put all your recycling in together which means you don't need several different recycling bins on your premises.
