The Finsbury Park Town Centre is now the subject of considerable regeneration investment. The asset of a large open space in the shape of Finsbury Park itself, the excellent and improving public transport connections and the dynamism of the multicultural community who live and work there make Finsbury Park a unique area.
On 1 June 2012, the Leaders of Islington and Haringey and the Mayor of Hackney signed the Finsbury Park Accord, a collaboration between the three boroughs that aims to take on the longstanding challenges of Finsbury Park, realising the area's promise to provide jobs and homes in north London.
The partnership will work together to make Finsbury Park, already an important North London town centre and neighbourhood, an area that offers all Londoners and tourists a destination to visit. Check out the Finsbury Park page on the council’s website to find out more about the regeneration plans.
The Town Centre Development Team is working to co-ordinate these developments and engage with the local business community to help them to make the most of the changes that will be taking place in the town centre.
