Help for refugees and migrants

Islington Council benefits from the support, commitment and expertise of all its voluntary and community sector partners. A list of refugee and migrant organisations active in Islington is provided below, with more information available via the Directory.

Islington Refugee Forum (IRF)

IRF is a refugee-led, independent organisation that works with refugees and refugee community organisations to ensure integration through dialogue, partnership, advocacy and empowerment. 

Islington Centre for Refugees and Migrants

Offers English language classes, practical support, and social activities to asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants. Open Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

Manor Gardens Welfare Trust

Provides tailored services around physical and mental wellbeing to most vulnerable people in North London communities. Open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm; tel: 020 7272 4231.

Kurdish and Middle Eastern Women’s Organisation in Britain

Provides support to Kurdish, Middle Eastern and North African women living in London. The service is provided in a women-only environment; tel: 020 7263 102.
